Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, president of UAE since 2004, passes away

UAE President and ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan passed away on Friday, local media reports quoting the Ministry of Presidential Affairs said. He was 73. "The Ministry of Presidential Affairs condoles the people of the UAE, the Arab and Islamic nation and the world over the demise of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the UAE,” a WAM news agency said in a statement. Sheikh Khalifa served as the President of the UAE and ruler of Abu Dhabi since November 3, 2004. The Ministry of Presidential Affairs has announced 40 days of mourning for the passing of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, the Khaleej Times reported. Mohali RPG terror attack: What Punjab police know so far

The Punjab Police on Friday arrested six people in connection with the rocket-propelled grenade blast that took place at the Punjab Police Intelligence headquarters in Mohali on Monday. Khalistani terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and local gangsters were involved in the attack carried out on the behest of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.  Canada resident Lakhbir Singh Landa, a close associate of Pakistan-based Khalistani terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda is the main conspirator of the attack, Punjab DGP VK Bhawra said in a press conference. According to the Punjab Police, Randa carried out the RPG attack with the help of associates Nishan Singh and Chadat Singh, both residents of Tarn Taran. Court Refuses Medical Bail To NCP's Nawab Malik, But Allows Treatment

Mumbai:   A special court here on Friday refused to grant temporary bail on medical grounds to Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik, but allowed him to get treatment at a private hospital. Judge RN Rokade, assigned to hear matters of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), said Mr Malik's daughter can remain present during the treatment. The court also rebuked the prosecuting agency, Enforcement Directorate (ED), for not taking Mr Malik to the doctor who has been treating his condition since the beginning. Nawab Malik, 62, was arrested on February 23 by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering probe linked to the activities of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim and his aides, under provisions of the PMLA. He is currently in judicial custody. Mr Malik had sought temporary bail for a period of six weeks on medical emergency. He claimed that he was suffering from kidney-related issues. Terrorism: Coalition vows to defeat ISIS

  A coalition of some countries has expressed its determination to ensure the defeat of the   Islamic State in Iraq and Syria   (ISIS) in both countries and Africa. The coalition, which includes Nigeria, is known as the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS. He unveiled the position on Wednesday in Marrakesh, Morocco, where he held his first ministerial meeting in Africa. The Nigerian delegation was led by National Security Advisor (NSA), Babagana Mongono, a retired Major General. Revealing details of the meeting, NSA spokesman Zakari Usman said in a statement that the coalition recognized that despite significant setbacks to ISIS’s leadership in recent times, the group continues to carry out attacks in Iraq and Syria and represents a constant threat.
